It was another beautiful Saturday but just a bit windy for our tri with 75 triathletes coming out to enjoy the morning! We had Angela from the Griffith University come down again on Saturday with her new program for our Tri Timing System. The timing system which they have called Tri Timer won the Opmantek ICT award which was an excellent achievement. Some of the features of this new timing system will be membership maintenance, race number administration, timing functions, general administration and individual performance seasonal points tallying. The Tri Timer is the work of Angela King, Hussah Alzunidy, Jake Braiding-Watson and Satishkumar Elumalai. Congratulations and we can’t wait to see it in action.
Travis Coleman representing Twinnies at Kawana in the Qld Tri Series came a fantastic 12th over all so congratulations on an awesome effort.
Glenn Lance has returned from his trip and received his towel and voucher for being the equal winner of the Monthly Point Score. Glenn also received a Twin Towns voucher.

DR BIKE – Awareness in the windy conditions when racing. Wheel sizes are very important and deep dish wheels can sometimes hinder your performance. Choose your wheels wisely and always bring your training wheels just in case. What size cassette should you choose? Best thing is to ask your local bike shop what would be best for you and your riding capability. You should be riding with your cadence ranging from 90-110.
