It was perfect conditions for our 95 triathletes this morning!
President Wendy welcomed Alan Hogg “Hoggie” who has had a 7 year hiatus. Hoggie recently participated at Noosa and enjoyed the Tri again so we look forward to seeing him soon. A special congratulations to our newest grandad Pete ‘Doc’ Harrington. Sarah gave birth to a baby girl on Thursday. Both are doing well. Best wishes to Sarah and the family from the Tri Club.
As improvements are being made in weekly times could everyone please remember at the run leg finish STAY in SINGLE FILE, wait until the person ahead has called their number and most importantly call out your number AT THE DESK to help the girls have results for everyone! Thanks for your co-operation.
Good luck to Travis Coleman representing Twinnies at Kawana on Sunday in the Qld Tri Series.

DR BIKE – Dr Bike ‘Paul’ began the presentation with bike terminology such as seat, seat post, cranks, chain rings, bearings, bottom bracket, crank length and seat position. Many triathletes now favour a seat position forward and higher to enable a faster run leg. Anything that helps a few seconds will no doubt be tried by many! Bar tape was another essential to check every 6 months due to a build up of sweat and water causing oxidisation and subsequent deterioration of the aluminium or alloy. Be sure to regularly check for any changes to the bar tape shape. Most bikes with compact chain rings are a more accessible choice when choosing to purchase a bike as they are easier to pedal up hills …. a major bonus for anyone!
