Many of the TwinniesTriathletes were off to Noosa for the tri this weekend so the numbers were down to 59 but the Juniors had a great turn out of 23. There will be a Special Noosa update up on the website next week.
We welcomed Laura Kelly back to Oz after arriving from Canada Friday afternoon and presented Laura with our 2015 new Run shirt and visor to celebrate Twinnies successful 25 years in Triathlon. Laura will be sponsoring our breakfast in conjunction with the Jo Kelly Memorial team event in December. She is going to be kept busy travelling starting this Tuesday with Di & Glenn Lance visiting Cairns & then the Northern Territory.
Twinnies New Uniforms – Looking Awesome
Congratulation to our Twinnies World Duathlon competitors Jo Ward and Ross Salmon. Jo is the 80-84 year World Duathlon champion completing a 10km run, 40km bike and 5km run. Awesome effort to be top on the podium! Jo has now participated in 4 World Championships – 2 in Olympic distance Triathlon and 2 Olympic Duathlon.
Ross placed an outstanding 4th in the 70-74 year old Duathlon sprint distance completing a 5km run, 20km ride and 2.5km run! It’s inspirational to see these boys competitive on the world stage.
