Club Championship nominations have opened, for those who have not participated in a club championship event, it runs like this. Your handicap start is gone and its down to a mass start for both male and female. It doesn’t take long for people to sort themselves out in the swim, then the bike leg- we will have police at the both sets of traffic lights to ensure no one gets caught at those bloody red lights, with marshals at Fraser/Amaroo and Woodlands Drive Roundabout. It really is a great finale to the season, so why not give it a go.  For those that still wish to race but not in the championships it will be like any other Saturday morning.

Dr Bike Roger was up overseeing the method cyclist were traversing the Pink X’s corner and reported back that everyone was going really really well until nearly the last rider turned the corner with the inside pedal down and guess what, that pedal hit the bitumen and got ejected into a half pike before crashing into the bitumen, fortunately no damage to the bike and the rider with a bruised ego mounted the bike and finished the race albeit with a few minor scratches.

Dr Bike Junior Paul talked about ‘Grand Fondo’ bike rides. These rides vary in distance from 60km-260km. He is planning on participating in a couple and is calling for interested parties to jump on board. If you are interested call in an see him at the newest bike shop on the coast @ Coastal Cyclery or see him at the club.
