Early showers always determines those triathletes that are in serious training or dedicated club weekly members that really enjoy a wonderful start to each weekend! Remember Consistency awards are presented to the 10 members with the highest attendance record at the weekly events during the season. The only exception is the first 3 place getters in the Club Pointscore Award.
It was a mixed early morning of both dry and wet conditions to test all triathletes in each leg. Congrats to all for staying safe on the roads. An extra special thank you to the majority of our members that have lights working front and back!

The “Russ Evans Memorial towel” which is awarded to the pointscore leader at the end of the month goes to Danny Khazen. Well done Danny!
There were 5 weekly handicap winners in January – these were Des Gooda, Caroline Bellenger, Sharyn Klein, Noel Coleman and Roger Campbell. The lucky winner of the $100 Services Club voucher was Noel Coleman. Keep up the great racing!

Of course Kev ‘the Rock’ Bannerman had his 501 celebration with Vice-President Val last week so President Wendy had to give the belated congratulation kiss! Very proud of KB!
Dr Bike Paul highlighted tips for Braking:
* When you lift the bike notches are in centre
* If too tight there can be bearing issues
* Avoid washing bike in car or truck wash as the degreaser will rot the bearings
* If there is a knocking noise the headset may not be tight and the cyclist could experience ‘death wobbles’
* Handlebars must have a set tension
