Race Report 4 January 2014
Twinnies first race of 2014 saw a great roll up, and still new competitors are keen to give the world renowned Twinnies course a crack. Given the hot windy conditions on both the bike and run legs, some people were still getting PBs. Well done.

Potential Champions
We had a couple of issues today, there were reports on quite a few cyclist crossing over the faded pink crosses, whether there are crosses, centre line or no centre line, you should NEVER CROSS TO THE INCORRECT SIDE OF THE ROAD. Unfortunatley, our marshall was unable to get any numbers, she was blown away by these cyclists extremely poor riding behaviour. If you are one of the offending cyclists, please have a look at your position on the road and speed when preparing to enter this and any other corner you encounter on the course. Another incident occurred at the roundabout outside BiLo/Caltex where one motorist got upset when overtaken on the inside and then pulled up at the tennis courts. A member spoke to the motorist and calmed his down. When it comes down to it, we are not racing for sheep stations, we all need to share the road, nobody wants to see anyone get hit. So please show courtesy to all road users.
Tri Coach Des
On 18 January following the presentation, Des will be running a FREE 40 minute seminar for intermediates and any adults that are interested in learning more about improving their skills in this sport.
Milestones
Congratulations to Pete Townsend for being the Point Score winner for December, he received $100 Twin Towns vouchers. Enjoy your trip to the club tonight.

Pete Townsend December Point Score Winner
Not speaking out of school, but if you’re around next week you may see someone crack a huge milestone. This member has been around for a looooog time, lets say a touch under 20 years. You’ll have to be there next week to congratulate the mystery member.
Random Draw Winners
Steve West( thanks for the Felt Drink bottles) George Levett, Wendy Wise ( our latest soon to be Granny) Guy Davoren (our water boy), Matt Stanley and Jason Winzer.
Point Score Winner (last weeks challenge gave every competitor 35 points)
| 1 | Guy Davoren | 333 |
| 2 | Terry Simpson | 322 |
| 3 | Vaughan Skelly | 313 |
| 4 | Will Styman | 311 |
| 5 | Scott Styman | 302 |
| 6 | Vicki Lawes | 301 |
| 7 | Lewis Saunders | 294 |
| 8 | Trevor Lawes | 290 |
| 9 | Ryan Stoddart | 289 |
| 10 | Paul Woodger | 289 |
Just perusing the point score list, we appear to have bit on a family rivalry going on, 4th place Will Styman is beating dad 5th place Scott , then at 6th Vicki Lawes on 301 pts edging our hubby Trevor on 290 pts, and a little further down the list we have father and daughter Hollie and Gerard Robbards equal in 29th position on 220 position, given Hollie has one less race than Dad, she must be going harder.
