Approximately 80 triathletes competed in cooler temperatures with southerly winds. It was great to see numbers increase with no early rain to greet us. We still have participants with lights attached but not working….failure to abide by club rules will result in a 2 week suspension. For club champs it will be automatic disqualification. The pointscore championship is still very close and best wishes to all.

A special appearance for the morning was the return to the club by Kay & Len Ball – it was great to see you both supporting the family! Great to see Gary MacArthur returning too!
It is always great to present a milestone and congratulations to Joe Mollica for achieving his 100 race cap!
Our marshals, Fergo and Rob did a fantastic job and how wonderful it is to have the senior boys helping out even when injured. Thanks boys!
The committee is updating members’ details over the next two weeks re name, address, email, mobile, birthday & contact person so we can return to the weekly emails for all members next season. Make sure your details are correct!

Dr Bike Paul highlighted rattles on your bike:
* can be in the middle and may be a loose bottle gauge
* rivets in carbon fibre bikes can come loose. These may be covered by manufacturers warranty
* cabling especially on the inside of the frame may rattle especially on rough roads
* saddle can creak and a carbon seat post must be at a set tension
* triathlon can cause excess water on your bike which may effect parts.
Make sure you go to your friendly local bike shops for any ‘check ups’ on your bike.

Random draw winners were Pauline Webley, Glenn Lance, Bede Curnow, Kynan Jones and Jo Colga. Congrats and thanks to our weekly sponsors. We ask all members to support our local sponsors.
