Sprint Route Course

SPRINT ROUTE COURSE

SWIM

  • 10 laps
  • Start on your handicap time
  • Stay to the left of the lane

BIKE

  • Helmet on before touching bike
  • Mount after the witches hat at the Southern end of transition
  • Obey all road roads, including traffic lights
  • Must have working front and back light which is on
  • Dismount before the first witches hat on return (the start of the grass)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Left onto Leisure Drive past the tennis courts
  2. Left at the lights at Fraser Dr. (Coles)
  3. Up Fraser Dr and turn around at the roundabout (where the marshal is)
  4. Left at the bottom of Fraser Dr into Botanical Circuit
  5. Left at the lights at Fraser Dr (Coles)
  6. Turn around at the first roundabout
  7. Left into Leisure Dr at the lights
  8. Right at the roundabout (where the marshal is) into Woodland Dr
  9. At the end of Woodland Dr, right at the roundabout into Darlington Dr
  10. Follow Darlington Dr around the gold course
  11. Left at the major roundabout at the shops into Leisure Dr
  12. Left at the end of the tennis courts

RUN

  • Rack bike, then remove helmet
  • Run through the larger gate next to transition
  • Run past the timing sensors and out smaller gate

DIRECTIONS

  1. Run past tennis courts, turn right and stay on the footpath
  2. Turn right at the large roundabout near the shops along Darlington Dr
  3. Staying on the Western side of the road inside the marked lines, run 2kms to the small roundabout and drinks station, turn around at the Lochlomond Street sign
  4. Return on the same route, staying on the same side of the road
  5. Run through the small gate past the timing sensor.

PRESENTATIONS 

Immediately after the last competitor has finished we will have presentations. This will be a quick wrap up of results and events from the last week; a segment from Doctor Bike on all things bike related from maintenance, etiquette, training and fashion; random draw for prizes from our sponsors.

COFFEE

A number of club members will need a coffee and debrief about their times and performances on the day. They meet at the Twisted Fig coffee shop in the Harvery Norman/Bunnings Completx nat South Tweed at around 8am after the race. You are more than welcome to join us.
